Offsite Data Verification Clerk - Part-Time

The Data Verification Clerk is a part time work-at-home position that verifies the accuracy of utility invoice data against corresponding image documents. This person is also responsible for populating basic data fields from image when the optical character recognition (OCR) data is not captured/readable.

Primary position responsibilities:

  • Verifies accuracy and validates continuous streams of data elements by comparing the online data elements from utility bills to the optical character recognition data. Determines whether to accept, reject or correct the data to process payments.

  • Requires production-orientated key from image of various data elements which are performed, as needed, in accordance with processing and quality standard procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge and minimum requirements:

  • 9,000 keystrokes per hour.

  • Must be able to grasp and retain instructions.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy and speed.

  • Specialized training in keyboarding or prior keyboard experience.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Basic understanding of utility concepts and terms necessary for proper data verification.

  • Training schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-2:00pm for two weeks.

  • 22" computer monitor required.
